The “Terra del Mare” was launched from a desire to promote the qualities of products from this land: the Po Delta. The select organic soft wheat flour is planted and harvested by members of the Porto Tolle Co.S.V.A Cooperative in the Porto Tolle district and exclusively stoneground to keep all its properties intact.
The resulting semi-wholegrain, type ‘1’ flour is not treated with any additives, improvers or preservatives, so that the taste and aroma carry the full flavour of our region.

Although traditional stone grinding provides various degrees of grind, it is unable to mill to the Italian type ‘00’ fineness (pastry flour); therefore, the product ground this way is of Italian type ‘1’ and ‘2’ (strong and very strong up to hard quality) and wholegrain quality. This means that the flour is not super white and its important substances, such as proteins, vitamins (B1, B2, PP, B6), magnesium, calcium and other mineral salts, remain intact.

The wheat germ remains in our flours. This is the embryo, or in other words the essential part of the grain from which the new plant grows, which is packed with nutritious substances such as B and E group vitamins, amino acids, mineral salts, proteins and “good” fats.
